Dr. Fatai Adebayo LASISI, FCA the pioneer Bursar of Summit University, Offa, born on 3rd March, 1962. Prior to his appointment, he was the Bursar, Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke and also served as Pioneer Bursar, Osun State University, Osogbo. He is the pioneer Bursar, Federal College of Education, Iwo.
He graduated with Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Public Administration with a Second Class Upper Degree in1986 from the University of Ilorin. He was the best student in his class during the 1985/1986 session. He had his Masters of Business Administration (MBA), Masters of Science (Msc) in Business Administration in 2010 and 2012 respectively and Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration in 2017 from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria respectively.
He started his career in Accountancy as Audit trainee with Pannel Kerr Forster, an international firm of Chartered Accountants based in Lagos between December 1988 and April, 1993. He later worked with Neighbourhood Building Society as Head of Internal Auditand later as Head of Finance and Accounts between May, 1993 and December, 1994. He worked briefly with Seazot Nigeria Limited as Finance Manager between January and July, 1995when he went back to PKF – Pannell Kerr Forster as Audit Manager between September 1995 and June 2002. He thereafter joined J. A. A. Adeniyi & Co. a firm of Chartered Accountants based in Surulere, Lagos as Senior Manager between July 2002 and March 2006.
He started his public service career as Bursar with Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke on 1st April, 2006. He served there until 30th Sept. 2007 when he was appointed as the pioneer Bursar, Osun State University, Osogbo on 2nd October, 2007 by the Governing Council led by the Distinguished Professor Peter Okebukola, OFR. He was the Bursar of that university for two terms of ten years. He joined the services of Summit University, Offa, a University of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria on 1st November, 2016.
Dr. Lasisi is a member of many learned and professional associations including Fellow, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Associate Member, Institute of Public Accountants of Australia, Registered Professional, Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, Associate Member and Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN).
Dr. Lasisi has a number of scholarly publications in local and international Journals. He is also an Associate Senior Lecturer in the Department of Management and Accounting, Summit University Offa. He has attended various local and International Scientific Courses, Conferences and Workshops. He is privileged to be supervised by distinguished scholars like Professor Taiwo Asaolu, FCA, Professor Akinlolu Agboola, late Professor Adeoye Akinsanya, Professor Eyitayo Lambo, and late Professor Arthur Ebun Davies.
His Award/Honour and Distinction include: Departmental Prize for the best student in the Department of Government/ Public Administration, University of Ilorin, Ilorin in 1985/1986academic session. Merit Award, Corporate Future Accountant, Osun State College of Technology, Esa-Oke Chapter, 2007, Vocational Award of Excellence by Rotary Club of Akobo, Ibadan, 2010, Award of Vocational Excellence by Rotary District 9125, Nigeria (Rotary International), 4th June, 2011, Meritorious Service Award as College Bursar by Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, 13th June, 2012 and Meritorious Service Award by Rotary Club of Osogbo in recognition of selfless services to the Community towards educational development of Youths and the Nation in general, 23rd August, 2014.
He is/ was associated with the following Clubs and Societies: Facilitator, Fate Foundation, Lagos (A training Institute for Entrepreneurs), January, 2003 to March, 2006, Patron, Road Safety Club, Esa-Oke, 2006 to Date, Member, Osun ICAN District Society, 2006 to Date, President, Iwo Premier Club of Nigeria, 2010 to 2012, Chairman, Allahu Wahid Central Mosque Committee, Ibadan, Oyo State, 2004 to Date, Member, Board of Trustees, Kolapo Ishola GRA Muslim Community, Ibadan.
His interest and hobbies include soccer, reading, travelling, farming, gardening, Professional Associations, debate on current conversations in a variety of fields, music, counselling, teamwork and mentoring.
He is happily married and blessed with children.
