JUSTICE AMBURSA LAUDS FCE, IWO MANAGEMENT, STAFF AND STUDENTS, PROMISES TO IMPROVING COLLEGE STANDARDS AND BUILD UPON THE ACCOMPLISHMENTS OF THE PREVIOUS COUNCIL

FCE COUNCIL MEETING WITH STAKEHOLDERS IN THE COLLEGE

The Chairman of the Governing Council of Federal College of Education, Iwo, Osun, Justice Mohammed Suleiman Ambursa and his entire team paid a week visitation to the College Community. The Chairman while interacting with Stakeholders from the College which included the Management Team ably led by the proactive and industrious Provost, Prof. R. I Adebayo, the Acting Deans of various Schools, Acting Directors of various Units, the Acting Heads of Departments, COEASU, SUCCOEN, NASU (FCE IWO Chapter) executives and Representatives of the Students body ably led by the Students Union President. The Chairman emphasized his dedication to improving the College’s standards and building upon the accomplishments of the pioneer Governing Council of the College. Justice Mohammed Suleiman Ambursa assured that ongoing projects in the College’s permanent site would be completed swiftly and urged the Ag. Deans of Schools, Ag. Directors and Acting Heads of Department and the students to collaborate fully with the College Management to achieve F.C.E. Iwo’s mission of becoming a center for all-round development.
Justice Ambursa also addressed the students, encouraging them to adhere to the College’s rules and regulations. He cautioned them against participating in any illegal activities, such as demonstrations or unrest, which could disrupt the institution’s progress. Sharing his own experience, he said, “As teachers impart knowledge, I taught for three years before seeking admission to study Law, eventually graduating as the best student in my class.”
The Provost of the College, Prof. R.I Adebayo in his welcome address appreciates Almighty Allah for His benevolence and unfailing mercies especially granting journey mercies to the Governing Council Team from different parts of the country. He utilised the atmosphere to intimate the Chairman and the members of the Governing Council of the unprecedented progress the College had attained since he assumed office as the Provost of the College. Prof. Adebayo presented the monthly College Bulletin to each of the Governing Council Team. Responses/requests and eulogies were presented to the Governing Council Team by Dr Mujidat Salawudeen representing the Ag. Deans of Schools, Dr. Oluwaseun Lawal spoke on behalf of the Ag. Directors, Mr Olusegun Lana spoke on behalf of Ag. Heads of Department while Comrade Sulyman Olohundare on behalf of COEASU, Comrade Kolawole Damilola on behalf of NASU, Comrade Mutiu Lawal, SUCCOEN Chairman and Comrade Rokeeb raised questions on behalf of the Students body.
Present at the meeting were the College Registrar, Alhaji M.A Yusuff; Dr. F. A. Lasisi, College Bursar; Dr. D. F. Iyanda, College Librarian; Deputy Registrar, Alhaja Medinat Sanni Lawal; Assistant Deputy Registrar, Alhaja Logun-Adeyemo; Assistant Deputy Bursar, Mr Irorunola Olasupo; the Procurement Officer, Mrs Ladi Sambo;and Miss Seun Aladesuyi, College Protocol Officer. On behalf of the College Community, the Registrar of the College, Alhaji M.A Yusuff gave the vote of thanks.
